Reading Strategies (Column 2)

The reading strategies help me a lot of things about my book. This are the reading strategies I have used for books in this year, summarize, prediction, visualization, inference, question tower, and connections.
Summary is about write about one or two paragraph about a part that you have read. When you write a summary, you must write the main idea that you read, detail and must be COOL. For example: my book is Bone: Treasure Hunter, it was about Thorn was princess that nobody knew, this is summary of the book.
Prediction is about to think what will happen in the future. Prediction can be creative, and cool. This helps me what happen next in my book, Bone: Treasure Hunter.
Visualization is about imagining. If you don’t know what is happening because your book don’t have any picture. You must imagining things in the mind or your head. My book was like manga or cartoon so I don’t need to visualize.
Inference is about write your own opinion about your books. Also you need an evidence to support that inference. For example: inference: Smiley Bone greedy, and a money lover. Evidence: when someone gave him gold for his helping, his eye was bright as the sun.
Connections are about connecting your book to yourself, to the text, and to the world. Connect to self mean that you connect to yourself. Connect to text mean connect something that relate to it. And connect to world mean to connect to the world, places, etc.
Finally, question tower is about the questions that you must answer when before you read a book, during reading the book, and after reading the book. For example: question that before reading a book, what prediction can you make at this point? Question for during reading the book, what happen so far? And question for after reading the book, were any of yours predictions correct?
